Mighty Fine Oaks

A Specialist Oak Tree Nursery

We sell trees grown from ancient oaks

Welcome to Mighty Fine Oaks

Mighty Fine Oaks grow and sell pedigree oaklings lovingly reared from the wild ancient oaks of England — iconic ancient and veteran trees that have stood watch over historic estates, sacred groves, parkland, wood pasture and other noble landscapes for many centuries.

Whether you’re planting a single tree, a sacred grove, a parkland restoration, or a whole woodland, we have hundreds of wonderful oaks available up to sizeable ten-year-olds. Each has provenance to their own 'mother' Oak.

WEDNESDAY 15TH TO 19TH OCTOBER 2025

Acorns as Alchemical Symbols

Visions for the Future, Broughton Sanctuary, Yorkshire

with Founder Benedict Pollard

Benedict presented participants with an acorn gathered from the largest-girthed (and probably the oldest) oak in Britain. Imbued with intention, prayer and blessings, it represented a symbol of inner transformation and alchemy, at the opening ceremony. Tree-planting ceremonies were held with 3-year-old oaklings carefully grown from acorns harvested from several ancient oaks of England. Attendees anchored in their intention and force for good into the inner and outer landscape. Benedict delivered a short talk on the 'rewising' of the land at Broughton through the planting of 77 trees grown by Mighty Fine Oaks, which were planted in April 2024.

FRIDAY 27TH JUNE 2025

"Oaks in the Parkland" Discovery Walk, Realisation Festival, St Giles House, Dorset

with Founder Benedict Pollard

Benedict will lead an informal walk around the perimeter of the house and into the parkland, stopping en route to connect with some of the 100+ species of oak that he and the Earl of Shaftesbury have planted here over the last decade and more. This mini-pilgrimage will be infused with a weaving together of storytelling, synchronicity, ecology, horticulture, spirit, mysticism and science. It will culminate in an immersive ceremonial planting of one of Mighty Fine Oaks' special trees, hand-reared from an acorn gathered off one of the oldest oaks in Britain.

To be without trees would, in the most literal way, to be without our roots.
